The main body, inner lid, and outer lid, a double-lid structure, are meticulously crafted by artisans using advanced hand-turning techniques, ensuring high precision. While providing an airtight seal, the lids effortlessly adhere to the body without requiring excessive force, creating a satisfying sensation that makes daily use a joy. Its natural wood finish also offers excellent humidity control, making it ideal for storing tea leaves, coffee beans, and even black tea leaves.

The lid of our tea caddies has an elegant roundness, and the wood grain is also very beautiful. These are points we hope you will admire every time you use them. The smooth curve and knob of the inner lid are also beautiful, resulting in a tea caddy filled with the woodturner's dedication.

Our tea caddies come in rough sizes of large, medium, and small, but since there are no molds and everything is handmade, the height, diameter, and other dimensions of the finished tea caddies vary depending on the size of the raw wood.

Our tea caddies are wrapped in cloth and delivered individually in a paper box. (Please note that for specially priced items, boxes are charged separately, and the color of the box and cloth may vary.)

They are also recommended as gifts for celebrations or for someone special.

[About Lathe-Turned Products]

Our shop is run by a woodturner family spanning three generations. Every single product is a unique item, meticulously crafted by one woodturner who thoroughly engages with the wood through every stage, from selecting raw timber and cutting to drying, finish turning, polishing, and tool maintenance, all with sincere dedication.

We finish our products by polishing the wood to bring out its natural luster, without applying any paint. We are committed to the woodturner's mission of maximizing the natural grain and color of the wood. Due to this natural wood finish, the product may slightly expand or contract depending on the season, climate, and the environment in which it is used, which may affect the fit of lids. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

• Occasionally wipe with a soft cloth. The cloth provided with your delivery will suffice. Simply stroking the entire surface by hand each time you use it will bring out its luster.
• If water gets on the product, wipe it off immediately. (Excluding wiped lacquer finished products)
• Do not place in direct sunlight or in areas of high temperature and humidity.

Our shop's products originate from my predecessor's search for raw timber.
He searched for wood with mountain owners in Nagano Prefecture and neighboring prefectures, and the craftsman himself felled the trees. There were many years when we prepared several truckloads of fine wood, but with each passing year, large, aged trees became scarcer. Since purchasing from the market would be quite expensive, we carefully craft products from the raw timber my predecessor left us.
I feel a sense of gratitude for such precious wood and a mission to bring out its maximum beauty.
Woodcraft may seem simple and unassuming at first glance, but I believe it is a job that can convey the proof of a tree's life spanning decades or hundreds of years. By carefully aging the raw timber for decades, the wood is taught the four seasons, and I determine the timing for production with my own hands. Perhaps I can hear the voice of the wood, something only those who have worked with wood for many years know.
